sorry its late,...we hiked today :)

Hi Friends!

Couple fun things: we helped feed a lamb named Oliver on Tuesday and I smelled like sheep and milk the rest of the night(pictures are blurry cause he wasn't down to be held lol), Mama sent me a cute little package and the sisters hid it in the fridge, in plain sight, and I most definitely would've missed it had they not been snickering and looking at me funny lol, we helped record a song for Sister Sortommes website and for a song contest that she's entering, stay tuned for the website later today cause I forgot the slip of paper, but if you go on that website and listen to the song, my voice is on there with some others! yup, I'm a recording artist.

Alrighty, now the real stuff.
We had exchanges this week, which was phenomenal. Miracles always happen during exchanges, not sure if that's because we expect them more or if the power of diligently preparing for a single 24 hour period adds extra umph to the work, but its great. In Ephrata, because our STL's are in Wenatchee, they come to Ephrata and we split the area, which is difficult, but I kinda like it cause its more work in my area, I know selfish :) But we did see miracles. Thursday morning we went tracting on 6th Ave. We started around 10:40ish maybe a little before, and we're supposed to tract one hour everyday. Now, tracting is not the funnest part of being a missionary. Don't get me wrong, I love it cause I get to talk to people, but there are things I'd rate higher, so some days, when people don't want to talk to us, or no one's answering, we are eager to finish the hour and move on. But back to the story, we were tracting and it was 11:45, yay! hour up! but there was one more house on that side of the street and I couldn't just leave one house unknocked y'know? WE knocked, talked to Haley for a half hour, shared like 4 scriptures with  her and when we told her the Book of Mormon we had was for her, she was shocked and elated. So pleased she asked to hug us, I loved it. Its little miracles like that that make everyday a good day. Catching people on days they aren't usually home or just before they head out to go somewhere, or having something we planned be exactly when a person is available or exactly what they needed to hear. It's just a testament that if the Church wasn't true, missionaries would've ruined it a long time ago. But the Lord is working with us, and He's doing the work, we're just tools in His hands.

I love you all! Email me and tell me about your adventures in the real world

p.s. I never realized how separate we are until I found out the Olympics had started and ended without my knowledge lol its cool

Who's ready to #LighttheWorld!?!?!

What's crackalackin? I'll tell you what,... I got my trunky call this week :( Basically that is when the office missionaries call you because you have 3 months left on your mission and they have to get info for flight plans.. :( I cried; I didn't expect it to come this fast or to be this sad.  On a happy note, Brad and Amanda are my fave people. We had an amazing lesson with them on Tuesday. We taught Brad about the gospel being restored through Joseph Smith and Amanda pretty much taught like 1/2 of it. She explained to him what the priesthood is and described the First Vision so well. We were so proud :) It has been amazing to see their growth in just the last few weeks and to hear them talk about the changes God has wrought in their lives and how excited they are for more changes. Brad got kind of emotional during our lesson as we talked about why he feels being baptized will be a blessing for him and his family. He talked about Sister McKnight and I and the impact w...

"Love God with all your heart.."

Hi Friends! It has been a week. dang.  We got to do a whole lot of service this week which was really fun. It's kinda wonderful to get to think all about someone else even for just an hour. I do a heck of a lot of thinking in a day, so I need a break sometimes and service is the way to do it. The great thing is, if you're doing it right, more than just the service projects feel like service, practically all we do as missionaries is serve, so I get to think about others all the time! yay! One of the things we got to do was go brush horses at Hart Ranch. Sue Hart, the owner, is super sweet and she gave us those gloves as a Christmas gift and we're going back this week to help her put up all her Christmas stuff cause she's getting kinda old, plus we love to do that.  I'm coming up on 3 months and since Sister Zollinger is very likely going to be leaving Terrace Heights at the end of this transfer, I've been thinking a lot about what I've learne...

"We are willing to knock on strangers doors" -the theme of missionary work

Other potential subject lines from this week: "Let your grammar nazi go nuts over that!" -Sister Walker. Yup, she loves me.  "I love us". Guys, Sister Walker and I are like a comedic duo. It's so much fun. It. Has. Been. A week. We've had quite a bit of snow too, which cause some issues with commuting places.. and seeing how our two areas are full of small towns that are in the hills, its caused a kink in our plans (thumbs up). BUT, all is well because leading up to the catastrophic "snowmageddon" as they are calling it, were a ton of Miracles! Alrighty y'all take a seat, strap in, grab some popcorn. I got lots to share.  So, Monday night, it snowed a bunch, so we did District Council over FB video chat, which was fun lol, there was a lag, so the hymn singing was WAY OFF, but it was good. We had interviews and since we had to do that over FB too, I FB chatted with Sister Jackman, man I love that lady. She's so much like my...
