"you're gonna get sun cancer!!"

Hello All!! Another week gone, another 3 hours added to how much sleep I'll need when I'm home lol.  Few updates: -we learned/observed how to fix a sprinkler system, so I know what my career will be! #startingourowncompany -we learned to play shuffleboard -Sister Wilcox is teaching me how to play the Ukelele(what what!) will send something when I have gained actual abilities. -ahaha, also, at church yesterday, Dillon(who is 13) came in during the sacrament and sat next to us for approximately 13 seconds then stood, and walked to the front and across to fist bump his friend William and then promptly sat down with Williams family, in front of the entire ward lol, it was hard not to laugh.  -I learned this week that even if we don't seem to be fulfilling our purpose with others, if we're coming unto Christ, we've had success.  On Saturday, we didn't have any set appointments, they'd fallen through. We visited quite a few potential investigators and

"You're better than a bunny"

Hi all! What a week,  okay, so first things first, the subject line is in reference to Sister Wilcox. In addition to the crutching and scootering that I've gradually become accustomed to, I do a lot of hopping, and I've gotten pretty quick(and fairly graceful...except when I trip on the stairs lol) about it, so yay! Alrighty, super cool experience happened this week, but first, backstory. A couple of weeks ago, I was looking through some papers we had and I saw mention of someone named Olivia who has essentially told the missionaries that she wanted to join the church. The weird thing was there was no mention of her anywhere else, that I could find. I dragged Sister Jensen to the street where she lived so many times trying to find her house, but the house number 1123 didn't exist! Oh, so frustrating. Then, this last Thursday, we got a text from the Spanish-speaking missionaries about a girl named Olivia who said we could come by..who lived at 1223! It was the girl!!!

"This is Sister Shuldberg and Sister Jensen.. er no Sister Wilcox"

Oh, the adjustments that come with a new companion. and you'd think with how many times I've introduced Sister Wilcox to people, I would've known to answer the phone with her name.. guess not oh well, Hi Friends! (I can't not start my email with that, I'm on a 7 1/2 month roll) It seriously feels like its been 3 weeks since I emailed last.. and each day has felt like at least 3 days.. does that add up right?   Ephrata is lighting up y'all. funny thing about being a missionary, I get crazy excited about fairly minor things. For example, one of those miracles that I got to witness was as we talked to a man named Garrett. He did not seem interested, he actually looked almost amused, but as we continued talking with him and testified of the Book of Mormon, his expression softened. He accepted a copy and said we could come back. I'd never noticed peoples countenance change so clearly, it was cool to witness.  more miraculous, Debbie brought her boyfriend S

Facing the strange, ch-ch-change-es

Hello, hello! It's transfer week! Sister Jensen is heading to Wenatchee and I'm getting Sister Wilcox, who is absolutely amazing. It's going to be great. But I've realized recently that I like change..when I'm the one in charge of it lol. That has been a major theme of these last few months, learning to trust the Lord's timing and His plan. I know that His hands are guiding President Lewis, and that there are people here in Ephrata that I still need to help, that there are people in Wenatchee that Sister Jensen can impact immensely, and its very likely that there is something I can learn from Sister Wilcox in the time we'll spend together.  We had Fast and Testimony meeting on Sunday and something that one of the high councilmen, Brother Norris, shared was really cool. A couple of weeks ago, we'd had dinner with him and his wife and had shared with them the video "Ask of God" about Joseph Smiths prayer and subsequent vision. They shared wit
