Who's ready to #LighttheWorld!?!?!

What's crackalackin? I'll tell you what,... I got my trunky call this week :( Basically that is when the office missionaries call you because you have 3 months left on your mission and they have to get info for flight plans.. :( I cried; I didn't expect it to come this fast or to be this sad.  On a happy note, Brad and Amanda are my fave people. We had an amazing lesson with them on Tuesday. We taught Brad about the gospel being restored through Joseph Smith and Amanda pretty much taught like 1/2 of it. She explained to him what the priesthood is and described the First Vision so well. We were so proud :) It has been amazing to see their growth in just the last few weeks and to hear them talk about the changes God has wrought in their lives and how excited they are for more changes. Brad got kind of emotional during our lesson as we talked about why he feels being baptized will be a blessing for him and his family. He talked about Sister McKnight and I and the impact w

Hello All!!! GUESS WHO CAME TO CHURCH YESTERDAY! Amanda, Alexa, Ally, and Abby(you can count Emma too, but it wasn't her decision, she goes where Mom carries her lol) We had an incredible week chock FULL of sighting of God's Hand.  real quick-like: -Zone Conference of lessons, the spirit, and ways to improve -EXCHANGES(we had an amazing lesson with Amanda which was when she committed to come to church and to pray specifically about certain things) -POWERFUL lesson with Amanda AND Brad(who was previously not interested). he now has a a bunch of questions, is reading the book of Mormon and he and Amanda are both preparing to be baptized on January 8th!!! -wonderfully sweet lesson with Joy whom I already love so much and is so eager to learn more about the Father she doesn't know -Interviews with President and Sister Jackman, boy they are so smart -Amanda wasn't going to come to Church, but then she realized that she had prayed the night before to receive an an

Meerrrrryyyy Christmas!!  It snowed this morning, so I think its fitting :)  Y'know, I think this was the best week of my mission so far. Quite a bold statement, I know, but there have been miracles witnessed, revelation received, and peace each day. I've been able to see more and more the reasons why God has placed certain people where they are(i.e. me in Selah particularly with Sister McKnight, various people in their respective callings, etc.). Our zone has been doing a Zone "fast" of sorts where we make marginal changes in our obedience and its meant to help us to refocus more intentionally on our purpose as representatives of Jesus Christ Well, it has worked, I have felt so much more focused and there has been more clarity in my mind, even with the dreary weather. The Spirit has been more prevalent and I've been more receptive to inspiration throughout the day each day. It's something I plan to hold onto, because peace and hope come easier now and I&#

"Sisters! Guess who just set a date for November 10!!!" -Sherri Allen

Hello hello! We've had a difficult time finding this week, but there were moments throughout the entire week where we were reminded that God is aware of us and exactly where we are. In one instance, we'd had little luck with the people we had planned in that day, and as we pulled out of the parking lot, Sister McKnight suggested that we drive by the Spirit and knock a random door. So we did, each time she suggested I turn was a moment when I had felt we needed to turn the same way she'd suggested. When we stopped, we got out of the car to talk to a pair of men walking before going to knock on the door. One of the men was an Israeli man who had just talked with missionaries in Yakima and had taken a Book of Mormon and was planning to read it! He was so cool and so excited to see us. He then proceeded to talk us up to the man he was walking with and they invited us to come walk with them and talk with them this coming week! Totally random and totally inspired. The Israeli m
