"You're turning into Elphaba"

Hi Friends! Happy Holy Week! so, I'm a little disappointed in y'all, no one even questioned what my subject line was about, thanks for caring haha. I sprained my ankle last Monday. Thought it was broken originally, but I can walk on it, so that means its okay...right? No, we're good. We were playing missionary ball and I was getting a little aggressive, *insert church ball flashbacks*, and jumped to try to get the rebound before an Elder could grab it (said Elder is 6 foot something and a brick wall. I should've known that my 5'4" frame can't take him, but..oh well). After my unsuccessful attempt to steal the ball, I landed on my foot and rolled my ankle BAD, heard a snap and a crackle, thankfully no pop(heh heh). I can walk on it, carefully, but I was on crutches at the beginning of the week and I do a lot of limping. and yes, Sister Jensen has made all the jokes, the crowd favorite was when she referred to me as Nemo for a day and the song she made up t

break 'em break 'em break my ankle...

hey Friends! this week "was TOTALLY WICKED!" (name that movie) I feel like its been way more than a week since I sat at this computer in the library last week.. too much to share I guess. Few highlights; Last Monday, we had a super fun luau as a zone, pictures to come. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we did A LOT of service. We pruned trees and cut firewood(pictures to come) during which I legit took a bow saw to my thumb, yes I bled, yes I'm fine, no mom, don't worry. we did a lot of cleaning too, using the same muscles to scrub that I used to saw, so it'd be fair to say I was a tad sore. you don't use those muscles everyday in missionary work y'know Then, Thursday was ZONE CONFERENCE. It was sweet! I love Zone Conferences. I always leave feeling super motivated and with lots of ideas on how to improve, plus, it's fun and we see friends and we get good food, so win-win-win-win. Alrighty, So Jutta, mentioned her last week. She is PHENOMENAL. We me

"we don't want to break into our car..."

Hi Friends!  So, I'll start with the funny story. on Thursday we had to go back the apartment to grab a Book of Mormon Lelani had given us to write our testimonies in and as we were leaving, I locked the handle, like we always do and closed the door. Sister Jensen looked at me and asked if I had a key  to the apartment, which I had the spare in my bag. Turns out she meant the car key, which was attached to the apartment key, which had been left inside. and my copy of the apartment key, along with our phone, etc were all locked in the car. We tried to card the door, but unluckily, our apartment isn't very easy to break into haha. So we prayed(which is where the quote comes from, Sister Jensen couldn't keep it together after that) WE called the sisters we live with on our neighbors phone after calling the mission office to get the number, left a voicemail, and walked to our appointment. I'd left my coat in the car too, so it got cold pretty quick, but after seeing Jean

sorry its late,...we hiked today :)

Hi Friends!  Couple fun things: we helped feed a lamb named Oliver on Tuesday and I smelled like sheep and milk the rest of the night(pictures are blurry cause he wasn't down to be held lol), Mama sent me a cute little package and the sisters hid it in the fridge, in plain sight, and I most definitely would've missed it had they not been snickering and looking at me funny lol, we helped record a song for Sister Sortommes website and for a song contest that she's entering, stay tuned for the website later today cause I forgot the slip of paper, but if you go on that website and listen to the song, my voice is on there with some others! yup, I'm a recording artist.  Alrighty, now the real stuff. We had exchanges this week, which was phenomenal. Miracles always happen during exchanges, not sure if that's because we expect them more or if the power of diligently preparing for a single 24 hour period adds extra umph to the work, but its great. In Ephrata, because o
