"as the mother of 10 children.." you'll have to watch the women's session of conference to get the reference ;)

Hello hello!

I can't even begin to express the highs and lows of this week. To begin: the pictures included are, in no particular order, my dear sweet nutso companion, the Sunnnyside sign because we had Zone Conference this week!, the sisters at zone conference, sweet Sister Kempt who is leaving for Arizona for the winter, and dear old Don, the grumpy ol' veteran.

That was probably the saddest part of the week. We've been meeting with him weekly for two months and he loves learning about the gospel, but he's not ready to allow Christ to heal him. The Atonement cannot help him if he doesn't accept it and do the things we've all been commanded to do. And he's not ready to forgive himself yet. He's not ready to feel loved by our Father in Heaven. I cried when we left, simply because he doesn't realize how much this matters. But he still being prepared; God's not done with him, thank goodness He doesn't give up.

Last week was way tough, but this week started off good, I think I had a wall that needed to be broken down to truly feel and recognize the Spirit again, and it was down. :) The revelation was flowin'.

Cool thing! On Tuesday we were practicing what we wanted to say to people if we met them in random places and Sister Glover(as the missionary)sat down next to me(the person) and introduced herself and the name that came to mind when I introduced myself was Cassie. No big deal. things went on throughout the day, whatever. THEN, that afternoon we were going to go see if we could catch Cory and instead we met his daughter... wait for it.. Cassie. She was super nice and we talked a lot about God and finding purpose in life. She was visiting Goldendale for a few weeks to find some clarity and we shared the Book of Mormon and how it can provide answers to a lot of questions in our hearts and souls. She was very excited and I know that we were meant to meet her. It was so totally wicked.

We met with Steve this week! We read the Book of Mormon and it was super spirit filled. Plus, he watched conference Sunday morning and really liked it. He's such a cute old man.

Zone Conference and General Conference were both inspired. It was way cool because some of the topics were things that I had studied throughout this last week. 10/10 would recommend. highly encourage everyone to go check it out. If we already did, watch/listen/read again cause there's still lots to learn from the servants of the Lord.

Okay, Last thing! does anyone remember me telling about Tyler? He called us yesterday!! ahhh. we were thrilled. He told us that some hard thing had been going on over the last couple of weeks and that our conversation 2 weeks ago really helped him. He said he has the Book of Mormon next to his bed and has been praying non stop and he knows meeting us made a difference. and we were about to the point that we didn't think he was going to call. God is in the details. :)

My dear friends, I know this Gospel is the truth. I'm grateful beyond belief that I have been allowed to come be a part of the Lord's work and to grow in ways I probably don't know (hopefully). Don't ever stop growing, it'll only hurt you.

Much Love,
Sister Shuldberg

p.s to top off the cold weather that's rolling into Goldendale, our power is out lol 👍

"We are willing to knock on strangers doors" -the theme of missionary work

Other potential subject lines from this week: "Let your grammar nazi go nuts over that!" -Sister Walker. Yup, she loves me.  "I love us". Guys, Sister Walker and I are like a comedic duo. It's so much fun. It. Has. Been. A week. We've had quite a bit of snow too, which cause some issues with commuting places.. and seeing how our two areas are full of small towns that are in the hills, its caused a kink in our plans (thumbs up). BUT, all is well because leading up to the catastrophic "snowmageddon" as they are calling it, were a ton of Miracles! Alrighty y'all take a seat, strap in, grab some popcorn. I got lots to share.  So, Monday night, it snowed a bunch, so we did District Council over FB video chat, which was fun lol, there was a lag, so the hymn singing was WAY OFF, but it was good. We had interviews and since we had to do that over FB too, I FB chatted with Sister Jackman, man I love that lady. She's so much like my...

Week 2

Heyo! So this email is prolly gonna be just as harebrained as the last one 'cause I'm still working out the kinks of timing and putting my thoughts in order. So, this is my last Pday in the MTC.. we leave at 230AM next Tuesday, I don't know what that'll mean for emails but there will be another eventually, no worries. Couple things, actually a bunch of things: 1: Sister Cannell drinks chocolate milk WITH ICE. I know weird, but I've decided to be the bigger person and look past it(that's a joke, I love her, it's hard not being able to put a little bit of sarcasm in my emails) 2: Anyone and everyone, please feel free to write/email me, I love hearing about like anything right now haha 3: Role playing is a total blessing, Sister Cannell is pretty shy and it's really helped her come out of her shell a bunch plus it helps to keep me from rambling like I do. 4: Speaking of my rambling, we watched this Elder Holland talk about opening your mou...

"So, you're nuuunnnsss......???"

Hi Friends! (funny story at the end, so bear with me) We carved pumpkins last Pday, super fun. Sister Zollinger did the Logan temple. look up a picture of the Logan Temple to see how good she did, it's way impressive. We had exchanges on Wednesday!!! my first exchange! I was sooo nervous, but it actually went really well, a lot better than I thought it would at least. Sister Zollinger went with sister McCourt to a different area and Sister Banks came to Terrace heights and I had to take over Terrace Heights, cause Sister Banks didn't know where anything was or who our people are. I was terrified. Plus, pretty much everything I know about being a missionary has to do with Sister Zollinger in some way, shape, of form, so doing all of this with someone different was highly stressful. I t was good preparation for transfers, because as much as I hate to say it, there will come a time when Sister Zollinger and I are no longer companion.. *gasp* I know, I know, scary. Exchanges a...
