"right!..Straight!!..LEFT!!!"

Hey, hey, hey!

Alright, funny story first: Sister Cannell, one of the other sisters we live with was sick all day Friday, so Sister Jensen and I ran errands for them when we could. They had ordered a pizza to take for the birthday dinner of someone they have been working with, so we were sent to pick it up for them. now, keep in mind, we'd been laughing deliriously all day, so we were prepped and ready for whatever adventure Sister Jensen's driving had to give us. We were leaving the parking lot of the pizza place and she hates turning left onto busy roads, so I was trying to get her to go straight into the other parking lot and then she could turn around and go right onto the road, but she wanted to turn right and loop around the block. I kept watching telling her when she could go and right when she was about to turn right, she'd pause, and have to wait longer. Finally it was clear, so she was prepped and ready to turn right, then after a split second, she shouts, "Straight!" and halfway across the road she hollers "LEFT!!!" and turned left, we made it, it was executed beautifully, and the pizza was safe and sound. All is well.

In other news, I have been directed to crutch around and keep weight off of my ankle as much as possible.. not the funnest way to tract lol but its cool, memories and all that jazzy stuff. because its not easy, and I get tired and frustrated with it, I made my lock screen wallpaper the words "nevertheless, she persisted" to keep me motivated. Is the new theme of my mission, a reminder that regardless of what it is in the way, I'll persist.

We saw so many of our people at church this Sunday. Its been thrilling to experience the Gospel through their eyes and to see them making changes to better feel the Spirit and build their relationship with Christ. Debbie, who we met a couple weeks ago through the Elders, came to church for the first time and we were so excited !! And then we remembered that we were teaching the Word of Wisdom in class. Not bad except we didn't want to scare Debbie away or make her feel like we were attacking her with "you need to change this, this, this..". To keep the Word of Wisdom, she would need to make changes, but we wanted her to want to, not feel like we expected it of her. So we were a tad but nervous going in, but as we talked about it all as a class, and about the purpose behind it as well as the blessings we all have been promised and have experienced by keeping the Word of Wisdom, Debbie grew more excited. She wants to make those changes to bring the Lord more fully into her life! And we get to help her and be a witness to the growth that will come from it.

These last 7 months, I have been witness to so many blessings that can and will come from making changes in your life for He who loves us most. We listened to a talk this week by Hank Smith called "Break up with the World" that I highly recommend you listen to. Then make some changes, persist through the hard things, and you'll be better for it.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!

"We are willing to knock on strangers doors" -the theme of missionary work

Other potential subject lines from this week: "Let your grammar nazi go nuts over that!" -Sister Walker. Yup, she loves me.  "I love us". Guys, Sister Walker and I are like a comedic duo. It's so much fun. It. Has. Been. A week. We've had quite a bit of snow too, which cause some issues with commuting places.. and seeing how our two areas are full of small towns that are in the hills, its caused a kink in our plans (thumbs up). BUT, all is well because leading up to the catastrophic "snowmageddon" as they are calling it, were a ton of Miracles! Alrighty y'all take a seat, strap in, grab some popcorn. I got lots to share.  So, Monday night, it snowed a bunch, so we did District Council over FB video chat, which was fun lol, there was a lag, so the hymn singing was WAY OFF, but it was good. We had interviews and since we had to do that over FB too, I FB chatted with Sister Jackman, man I love that lady. She's so much like my...

"unicorns and caticorns and mermicorns" -Laila

Hello world! Quick rundown of our week(cause time is hecka limited) So, we didn't go ANYWHERE Monday through Friday(except when the RS president cam e and took us to go grocery shopping). Why? Our car was dead as a doornail AND the snow was much too much. But, we talked to lots of people through technology(blessed) and Sister Walker made her first snowman AND went sledding for the first time(we had to trek down to the mailbox to mail a letter).  We had virtual district council again, which was fun and even did a virtual roleplay, very weird.  The Zone Leaders sent us a song on Thursday cause I was havin a cabin fever freakout (thumbs up) it was sweet, and it motivated our FB post, spreadin the love.  On Saturday, we experienced FREEDOM anew. The world is beautiful, especially through a car window driving away from our home-turned-prison. It was a glorious day and we went up to Goldendale that evening for Steve's baptism! Those of you who are dedicated fans may r...
