broken, broken, broken

Hi Friends!

No, nothing is broken. We were having a lesson with Ana and her granddaughter was there drawing all over a piece of paper and she'd take a pen out of the pile, draw for maybe 3 seconds, decide it was broken, throw it and grab another. quite amusing.

The other night we heart-attacked the door of a less active member we're working with and he heard us, I guess he's bionic or something cause we were SILENT, and he whipped open the door and bout gave us our own heart attacks! Not. fun.

We  had exchanges this week on Wednesday: so good. I was with Sister Wadman and we had a blast. she is so powerful, especially on the doorstep, she literally echoed down the street. We went to Good Samaritan and played games with some old folks, and Jesse totally smoked us at Uno. It was sad to see how my skills have gone down lol. We went to visit some potential investigators later and it was raining and Sister Wadman was THRILLED. She's excited about everything even remotely related to being a missionary and it's contagious, by the end of the day, I was ready to go tract the town by myself..almost. Sister Fleming was super pumped up too and we were so excited about going out on Thursday and... I got sick during the night :( It may or may not have had something to do that as breakfast-for-dinner, a member served us cake waffles, as in cake batter in a waffle maker. it was so good, but I may have gone overboard. So we spent most of Thursday inside so I could sleep. Still not quite in tip-top shape, BUT we've been able to go out each day, just gotta be slower about it.

It's been cool to have eyes that are able to see miracles throughout the day because I'm looking for them.

Something that I learned just yesterday is if you're having a hard time, if you're feeling lost, confused, alone, overwhelmed, or anything like it, take stock of the things that you KNOW. Like for me, I know my parents love me. I know Heavenly Father is there, listening and ALWAYS willing to help. I know the very real power of the priesthood. I know I can be with my family for eternity. I know I'm where the Lord wants me. then go from there. Don't focus on all the other things, remember the most important facts and they'll give the the strength to face the rest, He will give you that strength, He knows how much you need it.

I love you all so much!

Sister Shuldberg

p.s. I'm sorry Mom, I'll try to be better at taking pictures this week, Sister Fleming and I both look at each other when we get home like, "we should've taken a picture! ugh!" and can't change it, we're getting better, maybe...

"This is Sister Shuldberg and Sister Jensen.. er no Sister Wilcox"

Oh, the adjustments that come with a new companion. and you'd think with how many times I've introduced Sister Wilcox to people, I would've known to answer the phone with her name.. guess not oh well, Hi Friends! (I can't not start my email with that, I'm on a 7 1/2 month roll) It seriously feels like its been 3 weeks since I emailed last.. and each day has felt like at least 3 days.. does that add up right?   Ephrata is lighting up y'all. funny thing about being a missionary, I get crazy excited about fairly minor things. For example, one of those miracles that I got to witness was as we talked to a man named Garrett. He did not seem interested, he actually looked almost amused, but as we continued talking with him and testified of the Book of Mormon, his expression softened. He accepted a copy and said we could come back. I'd never noticed peoples countenance change so clearly, it was cool to witness.  more miraculous, Debbie brought her boyfriend S...

He is a God of Miracles

Hi Friends! So.... Sister Zollinger is being transferred to Wenatchee, like forever away. going to miss her so much, but Terrace Heights is seriously on fire.  We saw so many miracles this week! The other day, Sister Zollinger remembered how President Lewis once said to ask Less Actives if we could practice lessons on them because lots of times they don't feel like they need lessons but its a way to help them feel the Spirit, so we figured we'd give it a shot. IT TOTALLY WORKED. We taught the Plan of Salvation to a less active elderly couple who hadn't been to church in a few years and halfway through the lesson, Sister Weldon was crying so hard that she couldn't read the scripture we gave her. It was so powerful to see the change in their countenance as we talked and afterward (and since) Brother Weldon has thanked us profusely for coming over. Its a really good feeling to be able to see people open their hearts to the Spirit. We also "practiced" th...

Who's ready to #LighttheWorld!?!?!

What's crackalackin? I'll tell you what,... I got my trunky call this week :( Basically that is when the office missionaries call you because you have 3 months left on your mission and they have to get info for flight plans.. :( I cried; I didn't expect it to come this fast or to be this sad.  On a happy note, Brad and Amanda are my fave people. We had an amazing lesson with them on Tuesday. We taught Brad about the gospel being restored through Joseph Smith and Amanda pretty much taught like 1/2 of it. She explained to him what the priesthood is and described the First Vision so well. We were so proud :) It has been amazing to see their growth in just the last few weeks and to hear them talk about the changes God has wrought in their lives and how excited they are for more changes. Brad got kind of emotional during our lesson as we talked about why he feels being baptized will be a blessing for him and his family. He talked about Sister McKnight and I and the impact w...
